Course Curriculums
The Department of Climate Change is a multidisciplinary department that offers the following
academic programs to train students in the scientific, engineering, and societal aspects of
climate change:
2-year M.Tech (TA),
3-year M.Tech (RA),
UG Minor and
PhD programs .
Philosophy behind the course curriculum
The curriculum is designed as a balanced combination of core and elective courses. The core courses provide a strong foundation in the scientific, computational, and policy dimensions of climate change. Electives let students specialize in diverse areas, including climate science, climate change adaptation, climate modeling, weather forecasting, hydrometeorology, climate extremes, remote sensing, sustainability, renewable energy, artificial intelligence, high-performance computing, and data analysis.
